CLASSROOM PROCEDURES

• Your child will spend the first minutes of each class recording assignments and important notices in her/his daily planner. The last minutes of each day will be spent reviewing it and making preparations for home. Parents do need to sign it each day. I hope you find it useful as a communication tool.

• All fifth-graders are required to have their assignments turned in on the day they are due. If an assignment is incomplete or missing, students will recieve a LA on the class clipboard for that day. When a student has received four checks for any reason, he/she must serve detention from 3:25-4:15.  Parents will receive a phone call from their child if this occurs. 

• To keep you informed and aware of what we are doing, your child will bring home a white folder every Friday with papers they completed during the week. Please take time to review and discuss these papers with your child. Then sign the form on the outside of your child's folder, keep the papers (unless otherwise noted), write any comments you might have, and have your son or daughter return the folder to me on the following Monday.

        55 degrees+        Your choice!

        45-54 degrees     Sweatshirt, jacket, or long sleeves

        Below 45 degrees  Winter clothing
