Education
    After graduating from Sioux Center High School in Iowa, I attended college at South Dakota State University. At SDSU, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Child Development and Human Relations.  I also attended DSU in Madison, SD and earned my Elementary Teaching Degree. Upon completion of both programs, I took a teaching assistant position with the Sioux Valley School District, in Volga, S. D.  I began teaching Kindergarten at Sioux Valley after being a teaching assistant for 6 years. I also taught Second grade and Third grade while at Sioux Valley.  I then took a position as the Elementary Behavior Interventionist in Brookings, SD.  The next year I piloted a Behavior Room at Hillcrest Elementary School in Brookings. I have taught Fifth Grade  at Hillcrest since 2004.  I now teach at Camelot Intermediate School. I teach Science for the 5th Grade North Team and my homeroom Language Arts.
